I don’t see any info online that restricts the travel window of when your stays could be at either Starwood hotels or resorts, you’ll just need to call and check for your desired hotel or resort to see if it’s considered “a participating property”.

Stacking With Citi Prestige 4th Night Free Benefit

One of the most valuable benefits of the Citi Prestige Card is the ability to get your fourth night free on paid hotel stays booked through the Citi Prestige Concierge (online or over the phone). The discount is the average of the four nights, and is refunded when you check out.

The Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express offers 25,000 SPG Starpoints for spending $3,000 within three months of opening the account. The Business version of the card offers the same bonus for spending $4,000 within three months.

If it’s SPG hotels you’re after, you can use your SPG Starpoints to book Free Night Awards, Cash and Points Awards (mixture of cash + points), or SPG Nights and Flights packages (combo of hotel nights and flights).
