To everyone in LA:
Long-time reader Mark proposed dinner on Friday, September 7 at 8:00 PM, and I accepted.
I suggested an authentic Mexican restaurant in the 90006 zip code. It has chicken mole (read this word in Spanish, not English) and mezcal margaritas to die for.
Contact me if you want to join us, and I’ll give you the name and address of the restaurant. This way I can give them a head’s up of our party’s size.

Great chance to meet and know fellow LA travelers.
Will we get poker stories too?
I’ll tell my one good poker story. And it’s travel related!
Just went to dinner with Scott! He’s an awesome person to talk to haha! 🙂
Thanks for the Scott-dinner review in case anyone was on the fence.
I should be able to join as well on the 7th.
I love to join you all…shoot me the info.
Thanks,
Your blog is great! Where do you live in LA? My travel style is a lot like yours. Bring one backpack, nice flights, but stay in cheap b and b hotels
With that cheap lodging style, where else but K-town?
I’m game! Some days I work in 90006 😀
I forwarded on this post to MilesMamma.com as she is in Los Angeles area, maybe she can join you.
Chicken mole sounds good. May I join the fun?
Given the close proximity and my high esteem for the information you put out, I’d love to join you for dinner. The mole is great at the venue: used to have a branch in West LA within walking distance of me, but someone drove their car into the building and they could never bring it back to code.
Count me in. Send me the info, but I can venture a pretty good guess about the venue.
Can I still sign up?
Would love to join. Guessing we’re going Oaxacan at the big G. Let me know if I can come!
