Frontier has announced a 10% discount on domestic flights bought by Thursday April 24, 2014 and flown by September 21, 2014 with promo code SPLASH. Blackout dates of May 22-23, May 26, June 29, July 3, July 5-6, August 28-29, and September 1, 2014 apply.
This is Frontier’s first fare sale for summer travel dates!
This 10% discount does not apply to Frontier’s international destinations like Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic.
To get to those places, your best bet is to redeem 15k Frontier miles each way. You can get The Frontier Airlines World MasterCard® with 40,000 bonus miles after spending $500 in the first 90 days, which is more than enough for a roundtrip anywhere Frontier flies or enough for two roundtrips within the USA.
How does the 10% discount work?
Frontier has offered these limited time 10-17% discounts frequently this year. They are a nice bonus, since Frontier’s flights are often already extremely cheap.
To get the discounted airfare, go to flyfrontier.com and perform any domestic search for flights before September 21 with promo code SPLASH.
The screen shots in this post are from a recent 14% discount because the idea is the same.
I priced out a weekend trip from Los Angeles to Denver on a previous 14% sale. The 14% discount off the base fare–not including taxes–shows up on the flight selection screen.
After the discount, I found a $121 roundtrip.
On the purchase screen, all the checked bag fees, change fees, seat selection fees, and mileage earning are clearly spelled out, which is a nice touch. Frontier fees are a bit below their competitors’.

Don’t forget you can get The Frontier Airlines World MasterCard® with 40,000 bonus miles after spending $500 in the first 90 days, which is more than enough for a roundtrip anywhere Frontier flies or enough for two roundtrips within the USA.
