Frontier is offering 20% off regular and sale fares for domestic travel July 12 through December 12, 2014. Blackout dates of November 20-26, and November 28–December 2, 2014 apply. You must purchase by 11:59 PM ET July 4, 2014 with promo code RGIFT2U to lock in the savings.
Frontier frequently offers 10%+ off its fares through two or three day sales, but I have not seen 20% off yet.
When comparing the price after the 20% discount to other airlines’ fares, remember that Frontier now charges for carry ons and checked bags. Each passenger’s free baggage allowance is limited to one personal item.
I wish I had some firm dates for Fall travel because this sale is making some already attractive Frontier flights on under-served routes even more attractive, especially for people at Frontier hubs and focus cities:
- Denver International Airport
- Trenton-Mercer Airport
- Wilmington-Philadelphia Regional Airport
- Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport
- Washington-Dulles International Airport (begins 8/19/14)
If you book a Frontier flight, book it with your Barclaycard Arrival PlusTM World Elite MasterCard®, so that you can redeem Arrival miles to make the flight free. Meeting the minimum spending requirement of $3,000 in 90 days on the Arrival Plus is worth $500 in free Frontier flights (or any other airlines’ flights or any hotel or any other travel expense.)
Just getting started in the world of points and miles? The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for you to start with.
With a bonus of 60,000 points after $4,000 spend in the first 3 months, 5x points on travel booked through the Chase Travel℠ and 3x points on restaurants, streaming services, and online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs), this card truly cannot be beat for getting started!
