Book any JetBlue award by 11:59 PM ET TOMORROW (August 4, 2016) for travel between September 7 and November 16, 2016, and you’ll get 25% discount off the normal award price. Unlike some past promotions we’ve seen from JetBlue, you don’t have to wait to get the discounted points rebated to your TrueBlue account– the discount is built in when you book.

There are blackout dates and days of the week that the discount doesn’t apply to. Here are the conditions of the promotion:

Head to jetblue.com, where all eligible Award Flights fares will automatically include the 25% discount. Book between now and August 4th Fly September 7 – November 16, 2016 (Blackout dates 10/6 – 10/16/16) Fly Mon – Thurs and Sat. (not valid for flights on Fri. or Sun.)

JetBlue’s loyalty program is revenue based, meaning the number of points you need is based on the ticket price. JetBlue points are worth roughly 1.5 cents each toward a ticket. Read this post to learn the basics about JetBlue awards.

For example, a one-way ticket between New York and Los Angeles would cost $139:

With the current 25% discount, you can pay just 7,000 TrueBlue points:

You’d be getting 1.9 cents of value per TrueBlue point, which is excellent.

Mint Class

One of the highest value awards is for Mint Class between New York and Los Angeles and New York and San Francisco. During the valid sale dates, you can get a fully flat bed in a fully enclosed Mint Suite for only 34,000 TrueBlue points instead of the normal 45,300 TrueBlue points:

I wrote extensively about the amenities and price that make Mint “By Far The Best Deal on Domestic Business Class” so check out that post for more information on why I’d take advantage of this discount to book Mint Class.

How to Get TrueBlue Points Fast

If you didn’t get a surplus of TrueBlue points from the Virgin America/JetBlue points match promotion last month, you can transfer 250 Membership Rewards to 200 JetBlue points if you’re short of the award you want. With this 25% discount on awards, that may make sense.
