Alitalia is offering $100 off roundtrip tickets to Europe this summer! Join their mailing list with a valid email address and receive a $100-off coupon for flights to Europe between now and the end of the year.
The coupon is also good for $150 off direct premium economy to Milan and Rome or $250 off business class to Europe if you are contemplating an expensive ticket.
For full details and to sign up for your “e-coupon code,” head here.
To take full advantage of this deal, you need to find a cheap Alitalia flight, and that’s easy. Head to the ITA Matrix, and fill out the form like this.
Search from your city to your destination. In the second and fourth fields, write “AZ+” which tells ITA Matrix to search only itineraries marketed by Alitalia. Lower down, choose your dates.
If you find a decent Alitalia paid itinerary, go to www.alitalia.com/us_en/ to find the same itinerary and use your $100 coupon.
If you planned on paying for an itinerary to Europe this year, this deal is free money. If you’re still holding out hope for an award to Europe, you need United or US Airways miles, and you need to look for space at the last minute when United and Lufthansa, among others, release unsold seats as award space.
Just getting started in the world of points and miles? The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for you to start with.
With a bonus of 60,000 points after $4,000 spend in the first 3 months, 5x points on travel booked through the Chase Travel℠ and 3x points on restaurants, streaming services, and online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs), this card truly cannot be beat for getting started!

Always thank you.
I want to go to Europe from first-class paste of Lufthansa, Japan. (ffor using my US Airways miles), however, I cannot find a vacant seat using KVS.
Is there not the vacant seat?
You cannot use US miles for an F award seat on Lufthansa, even if there was inventory available to other partners.
Thank you for advice
Because Lufthansa was Star Alliance, I wanted to get on F using US mile.
Why is it?
Is it the system which does not understand that the vacant seat is not two weeks ago?
I want to use US mile 100000 from Japan for Europe.
And I want to get on F.
It is LF OR ANA OR TG if possible
US Airways doesn’t allow its miles to be used in Lufthansa First. I believe it is the only partner/cabin combo US Airways blocks in the entire Star Alliance. This is quite inconvenient for your plans. Look into flying ANA or Thai first class.
if anyone wants an extra an extra discount code, you can use mine: 12A3-244B
Is that discount code for Alitalia?
I registered my wife and I to the Alitalia reward program (“Mille Magia”) and did not receive a promotion code. When I called the airline and asked about this, the response was that the promotion was not guaranteed at the moment you register, and that I needed to simply wait and watch my emails in the future and when the airline chooses to offer the promotion, they will send out the promotion code. Very frustrating. My wife and I are planning a trip from JFK to Florence in mid Sept, and back from Naples at the end of the month. Would love some guidance.
