Update: I booked myself a room. You have to check out with MasterPass. This only added a few seconds to checkout. I selected Citi as an option from the MasterPass menu and signed in with my Citi account details. I enrolled in MasterPass and added my Citi cards in a few clicks. Then I checked out and got confirmation for a $17 one night stay in Lima that I’ll use when I take a 23 hour layover there this month.

This is only good for last minute travel, since you need to stay in the next 12 days. Also, not all properties are eligible for the promotion.

Make sure the pre-tax cost is $100 or more. I found a hotel that cost $104 per night pre-tax. After the promotion, the total price is $16.45.
My spidey sense is tingling that this promotion should not be open to everyone and that Orbitz will shut this deal down in the next few hours or minutes. If you want in, book now.
