Well, it’s January 31. So today is your last chance to transfer. Since I posted this initially, I have two other posts on Avios:
- New, Worse Avios Award Chart takes effect in April. The best-value awards were not touched in this devaluation.
- All the 12,500 Avios Awards to Hawaii: There are 10 Western cities with service to four Hawaiian Islands for 12,500 Avios

American Express Membership Rewards transfers to British Airways Avios will come with an automatic 40% transfer bonus from now through January 31, 2015.
Is this British Airways transfer bonus a good deal? Should you take advantage of the 40% transfer bonus?
Until January 31, 2015, you can transfer increments of 1,000 AMEX points to 1,400 Avios automatically at membershiprewards.com.
If you have a use for Avios, this is a fantastic deal.
Avios are great for short, direct, economy tickets on airlines and routes without fuel surcharges.

Does a transfer from MR to BA Avios restart the 36 month expiration clock on Avios that are set to expire?
“Your Avios stay with you as long as you collect, spend, purchase or share at least one Avios every 36 months.” It sure should.

Any idea whether this offer is available for Canadian membership rewards cardholders? Can’t seem to find the offer on the Canadian version of the Membership Rewards site…
Guess not then. It should be right on the Avios transfer page.

I am trying to book a Avios ticket and it is offering to pay more cash for lesser Avios points usage at ~1.3 cents. Do you think I should opt go with buying Avios for 1.3cents?
