Scott, here’s my comment…
Your Free First Class Next Month series is the most in-depth beginners course to miles I’ve ever read, and you’re not even done yet. You should package it into a training course and make millions! 🙂
Billions is the plan!
I enjoy reading your posts. I check you blog several times a day. I have just in the last three months been consumed by earning points and miles. I enjoy learning the game.
I have two trips coming up this year and am interested in seeing which airline would be a good fit. The trips I have planned are LAX-BKK and LAX-SYD. My initial research shows United to have some options and seems to be a good value. I don’t have any seating preferences. I have some points under Ultimate Rewards and Amex which gives me some flexibility.
With just UR and MR? I would definitely look at transferring UR to United. Are you looking to go LAX-SYD-BKK-LAX or two separate trips?
two separate trips. LAX-BKK in a few months and then LAX-SYD near the end of the year. United looks to be the best options thus far.
