Frontier has announced a 14% discount on domestic flights bought by February 6, 2014 and flown by March 12, 2014 with promo code SUPER. (Blackouts: February 13, 14, and 17)
This 14% discount does not apply to Frontier’s international destinations like Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic.
To get to those places, your best bet is to redeem 15k Frontier miles each way. You can get The Frontier Airlines World MasterCard® with 40,000 bonus miles after spending $500 in the first 90 days, which is more than enough for a roundtrip anywhere Frontier flies or enough for two roundtrips within the USA.
How does the 14% discount work?
A 14% discount on airfare is extremely rare, especially since Frontier’s flights are often extremely cheap.
To get the discounted airfare, go to flyfrontier.com and perform any domestic search for flights before March 12 with promo code SUPER.
I priced out a weekend trip from Los Angeles to Denver for next month. The 14% discount off the base fare–not including taxes–shows up on the flight selection screen.
After the discount, I found a $121 roundtrip.
On the purchase screen, all the checked bag fees, change fees, seat selection fees, and mileage earning are clearly spelled out, which is a nice touch. Frontier fees are a bit below their competitors’.
