The Capital One Venture X Rewards Card is Capital One’s new premium credit card. It comes with a $395 annual fee and a slew of premium travel benefits that you’d expect from a high annual fee card.

Capital One Venture X Rewards Card Earning Rates
You’d expect the newest travel rewards card to have some generous earning rates, and the Capital One Venture X Rewards Card delivers.
You’ll earn 10X miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel, unlimited 5X miles on flights booked through Capital One Travel and 2X miles on all other purchases.
Travel Credits
There’s a variety of credits that you’re eligible for with the newest travel rewards card.
Every year you keep the card you’ll be eligible to receive $300 for travel booked through Capital One Travel.
Transfer Partners
One of the biggest values to the Capital One Venture X Rewards card is the ability to access Capital One transfer partners.
Miles earned on your card will transfer to most partners 1:1, giving you more flexibility to use your rewards.

Our Thoughts
Overall, this is a decent travel rewards card. The fact that most of its bonus categories require you to spend through Capital One travel makes it little less than a glorified Capital One® Venture® Credit Card with a few more benefits.
That being said, for the first year you can easily get more value than what you’re spending for the annual fee in credits. If I had to choose between the Venture X Rewards Card and the Venture Card, I’d lean towards the Venture X Rewards Card. So long as you can utilize the travel credit every year, you’re getting a few additional benefits over the Venture card for the same effective annual fee.
If you’re looking for a new travel rewards card, there’s a decently compelling argument for the Capital One Venture X Rewards Card so long as you’re over 5/24.
