I input my information and got the 45k card offer. I just started using the Chase Business ink. in April to spend $5000 in 3 months and the Barclay US Airways card (only one purchase)….so didn’t follow through with the credit card offer yet. Should I?
I usually wait 91 days between applications, so if you got the Ink in April I would wait.
Scott, i thought we dont have to worry about the 91 days w/ bznz cards? I got approved for the Ink plus last month after my last churn Of 3 cards 8 wks prior. Should i wait 91 days from my Ink plus then? Or 91 days from my last churn in late february?
I batch all my apps 91 days apart. Business cards do result in a credit inquiry on your report. That’s not to say you can’t be approved less than 91 days apart.
Got the 45k offer as well as 2 amex blue cash offer
Those Cash offers were for $250?
I got the 45k offer as well.
45K and the 2 amex blue offers too
45k after $5k in 6 months
You say that one of the best uses for Skymiles is to Africa. How would I best use my Skymiles to fly from California to South Africa in Business Class or First? I have a lot of Delta miles.
I live near San Francisco, but could get to LAX if necessary.
By that comment I had in mind Delta’s JFK to Ghana and Senegal flight OR connecting in Paris and flying Air France’s extensive African network. The problem will be getting from SFO to the international space because domestically Delta has weak availability.
I just applied for the 45K Gold card and was instantly approved. I already have several Amex delta cards but no the gold, my wife has it. thanks for the 45K miles with easy spend.
Congrats!
Hey, Frank,it’s possible to use DL miles to SA, but don’t even bother checking ATL-JNB Delta route, it’s always at the high award level, didn’t see low level at all this year.you can get 140.000 RT in Business class if you can find seats SFO to Paris on Delta metal and add PAR-JNB non stop on Air France’s Airbus A380.. check all possible DL hubs SEA,SLC,PDX,DTW,CVG,ATL,MSP,JFK for seats to CDG or AMS. the most important is to find trans atlantic space on DL flight. it really sucks that they block KLM/Air France transatlantic awards this year.. also Kenya Airways from London via NBO does have good availability. takes a lot of time and digging..if you can’t, I think award booking service is a good idea, well worth $100-$150 fee
Thanks, DennisSFO. I will try that – getting to CDG from SEA. We have SWA companion pass and so can easily get to SEA. Or even use BA miles from SMF to SEA which is only 4500 one way.
Frank, you can add Alaska airlines into mix with Delta (same seats will be bookable with BA miles as well) find all separate segments at the low level, write it all down and later book using multy city search
DennisSFO, one frustrating thing is to get non-stop flights: They show awards from here to CDG via AMS and from here to AMS via CDG, but either one direct is not available! Is this their way of limiting non-stops?
Frank, try using airfrance.us to look for non-stop flights (just sign up for free account to use it) , it’s more reliable than Delta’s search engine. It’s pretty strange, I don’t think Delta enforces married segments logic on award tickets. also try using trial expert flyer account, it will show you exact availability on non-stop flights
