Read the comments (at least the most recent ones) for updates. People are receiving their game plays and notifications of their prizes, though the actual points haven’t posted.
IHG and MasterCard have announced a Priceless Surprises promotion that allows you to win 47,000+ IHG points from home for $56 and a few hours of your time.
The way the promotion is supposed to work is that you get 1,000 points for your first qualifying IHG stay with a check in date between November 15, 2015 and February 15, 2016. Then for each subsequent qualifying stay during that time period, you get a Priceless Surprise.
Some Priceless Surprises are huge.
But if you read the fine print, you see that most are 500 IHG points.
Speaking of reading the fine print, there is a second way to get Priceless Surprises. IHG cannot require purchase for a promotion that randomly assigns prizes since that would run afoul of state lottery laws. For that reason, according to the official rules, “From November 15, 2015 to February 15, 2016: You can enter the Instant Win Game without completing a Qualifying Stay… Each entrant is eligible to receive up to ninety-four (94) Game plays during the Promotion Period, regardless of method of entry.”
Now they don’t make it too easy.
“To enter without completing the minimum two Qualifying Stays, hand print your full name, complete mailing address, day and evening phone numbers, valid email address, member number, the first six (6) digits of your MasterCard and date of birth on a 3″ x 5″ piece of paper and mail it in an envelope with proper postage to “IHG and MasterCard® Priceless Surprises® Promotion,” c/o HelloWorld, Inc., P.O. Box 5996, Kalamazoo, MI 49003-5996. Once your mail-in request is received, you will receive an email within five (5) business days from the Administrator inviting you to play the Game and you will receive one (1) Game play for each mail-in request. Limit: One (1) request per envelope. Once you receive an email inviting you to participate in the Game, click on the link found within the email and follow the links and instructions to play the Game. The Game results will be instantly displayed. Potential winners of the Game will be provided directions for validation. All potential winners are subject to verification before any prize will be awarded. Administrator is responsible for the functionality of the Instant Win Game. All mail-in entries must be handwritten and must be postmarked by February 15, 2016 and received by February 22, 2016. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for 308468.1 lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified. All Game plays must be completed by March 15, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. ET.”
So this is what you can do starting November 15:
- Register your IHG number for the Priceless Surprises promotion.
- Buy this 100 pack of 3″ x 5″ index cards for $2.99 from Amazon. (Free shipping as part of a larger order.)
- Buy this 100 pack of envelopes for $6.99 from Amazon. The price seems high. Can you find some cheaper? (Free shipping as part of a larger order.)
- Buy 94 stamps for $46.06.
- Fill out 94 of the cards with (1) your full name, (2) complete mailing address, (3) day and (4) evening phone numbers, (5) valid email address, (6) IHG member number, (7) the first six digits of your MasterCard, and (8) date of birth.
- Fill out the 94 envelopes with the address IHG and MasterCard® Priceless Surprises® Promotion, c/o HelloWorld, Inc., P.O. Box 5996, Kalamazoo, MI 49003-5996 and stamp them.
This will probably take you three to four hours.
Within five days of HelloWorld receiving each entry, you will get an email that gives you one entry for a Priceless Surprise. Each entry is worth a prize.
Ten prizes are worth about $20,000 each, 24 prizes are in the $600 to $2,500 range, 1,775 prizes are in the $50 to $120 range, and the vast majority of prizes are 500 to 5,000 IHG points. Check out the prizes here.
If you do everything right, you are guaranteed to get at least 47,000 IHG points (94 times 500). I’d value those at about 0.5 cents each or $235. If it takes you four hours, costs you $56 to get those points, and you value your time at under $45 per hour, that’s a good deal.
You will likely do better than 47,000 IHG Points. Here are the odds for the points prizes:
- 5k points: 2.333%
- 2k points: 3.5%
- 1k points: 7%
- 500 points: ~84.746%
See nerd note at the end, if you, like me, are a nerd.
I am going to do this. It is a decent return on time, I’ll get a rush out of beating the system, and hey, maybe, I’ll win one of the big prizes!
(And by, “I am going to do this,” I mean that I am going to offer my nieces a chance to do the work for pay. How does $50 sound to a 10 year old?)
Is anyone else in?
Nerd note:
The Frequent Miler has a version of this post where he notes that the prize odds are stated like this:
He correctly points out that those don’t mean 1 in 28.57 and 1 in 1.18. Those mean 1 in 29.57, 1 in 2.18, etc. He reasons that this means you are actually likely to win only 31,657 points on average.
However, I am almost certain that that’s just a typo on IHG’s part and that the odds are 1 in 28.57, 1 in 14.29 etc. My three pieces of evidence:
- The promotion clearly says that each stay after your first unlocks a priceless surprise. It doesn’t say “may unlock.”
I think that clearly means every entry gets a prize. The smallest prize is 500 IHG points. - IHG’s Twitter says my reading is correct and every entry wins a prize.
https://twitter.com/IHGCare/status/662309905303498752 - Sum the probabilities my way and you find a 97.579% chance of getting 500-5,000 IHG points. There are 2,009 other prizes listed. Assuming they constitute a 2.421% chance total, that means that everyone gets a prize, and IHG is expecting about 82,982 entries. Sounds reasonable. Sum the probabilities the Frequent Miler’s way, and the chance of getting 500-5,000 IHG points is 58.073%. That means that either IHG is expecting 4,792 entries (way too low!), or IHG is not giving everyone a prize, which doesn’t square with points 1 and 2 on this list.
Just getting started in the world of points and miles? The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for you to start with.
With a bonus of 60,000 points after $4,000 spend in the first 3 months, 5x points on travel booked through the Chase Travel℠ and 3x points on restaurants, streaming services, and online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs), this card truly cannot be beat for getting started!

I’m retired and just crazy enough to try this. Wife and I both have IHG accounts so that’s nearly 100K points.
Should I dump all 94 requests in the mail at once or spread them out?
I think as long as they are in different envelopes, you are fine. Note that this doesn’t start until November 15.

Should this work from Europe too?
Thanks!
Open to (among other things) people “who are legal permanent residents of the fifty (50) United
States and the District of Columbia who are at least twenty one (21) years old and the age of
majority at the time of entry,” so no.

I hope I didn’t screw up by mailing some of mine earlier this week. Certainly they wouldn’t throw those out.
re: Mailing early.
Since the rules state November 15 and they will receive them before the 15th, it would be within their right to toss them. Will they? Good guess.

Go to the Dollar store & get envelopes and index cards. I’m going to do it. For the cost of a stamp, I get 500 points. For the price of 10 stamps, I get enough points for a free night during the Point Breaks promotion

Yeah, there probably are cheaper ways to get the paper and envelopes. I kind of expect them to toss anything that isn’t on 3×5 cards, though, so be careful there.
re: 3×5 cards. Actually, they might even toss those.
QUOTE from rules: “…on a 3″ x 5″ piece of paper…”
If a card also a piece of paper? Who knows. Nobody here, thats for sure.
There aren’t 2,009 other prizes listed. There are only 1,609 other prizes, so if that is 2.421% of the total entries, they would only be expecting about 66,500 total entries. What are they going to do when they get 100,000 entries just from the mail in process?
as to only a fixed number of prizes.
Read the official rules. The first group is 1,608. Everyone else is for the second group, which does not appear to be a fixed number.
FROM THE OFFICIAL RULES, edited
There will be (1,608) random…as..in Section 9.a below. If you are…one of the randomly-generated times, you will be a potential instant winner…..Otherwise, you will be a potential instant winner of a prize outlined in
Section 9.b below. The odds of winning each prize are outlined in Section 9.b below.

I think that they will add extra 500 point prizes as necessary.
Hmm… You will certainly receive SOMETHING on your 2nd and subsequent stays: “After completing your second (and each subsequent) Qualifying Stay, you will receive one (1) Instant Win Game play in the form of an email inviting you to participate.”
So it sounds to me like the something you get is an opportunity to play the Game…
It would strike me as extremely odd that IHG was willing to give everyone with hand stamina $200 worth of points. While you may be right, I’d prefer to rely on the written Terms rather than an (ambiguous) tweet.
Please clarify what part of the tweet or posting that you do not agree with.
As to multiple entries, this is from the rules (not a tweet): Limit:
“….Each entrant is eligible to receive up to ninety-four (94) Game plays during the Promotion
Period, regardless of method of entry…”” EXACT QUOTE
The part I do not agree with is your assertion that the opportunity to play the game (the “game play” in your EXACT QUOTE) is likely to be tantamount to winning a prize, contrary to the published odds. In your tweet you asked IHGCare to confirm that you would “get SOMETHING”. The response from IHGCare confirms that you will get “SOMETHING” but not what that something is. I’d interpret it much more narrowly than you do.
I fully acknowledge that screw-ups happen, so you may well be correct. Official contest rules from large companies, though, tend to get thoroughly vetted by lawyers familiar with contests and regulations, especially when three different companies and hundreds of thousands of dollars (not including points, which have no ARV) are involved. I wouldn’t assume that a social media responder would have the same gravitas.

Also, note that the IHG Priceless Surprises promotion site states
“Unlock your chances for a Priceless Surprise”
and
“Stay Again. Receive a chance at a Priceless Surprise every time you stay and use your MasterCard”
It says “unlock a priceless surprise” also. I’ll put it this way: I’m more than 80% sure that you will get 500 points (at least) for every game play. I’d be willing to give anyone 4:1 odds on a bet that that’s how it works out. Email me if interested.
Email sent!
Ihg points transfer to airlines too. This can be more value addition

As to winning any of the secondary or group B prizes, some interesting math. If you calculate the chances of winning one of the 4 prizes comes to 2% for the top, then 4%, 7% and 85% for the smallest. If I revised the numbers to account for the fact that once someone wins, it changes the statistics so it reaches 100%. So, either way, somebody wins something every time.
I have a feeling IHG won’t know what hit them.
We’ll see. I suspect they don’t get more than a few thousand entries this way, which would be way under 10%.
I think the estimate of a few thousand is low with each person sending in around 100 entries. Could easily see a couple hundred people from this blog alone. Just 200 people doing this is 18,800 entries. Multiply that by how many blogs? I can see the terms being changed on this one quick so do it early to be safe
We shall see. I think very few people will actually follow through.
Right in my wheelhouse! This reminds me of college, when the pizzeria across the street put an ad in our school newspaper that was an entry to win Free Pizza every week for a year, which is a dream come true for a student. Since I was an avid newspaper reader, I saw this early and snatched up bundles of newspapers before they had even snapped the ties and distributed them. Then my girlfriend and I filled out probably two hundred entries, which I stuffed into the pizzeria’s contest bin. Somehow, I still didn’t win!
This will be totally random and overseen by a company that oversees these things. The pizzeria probably not, so they might have seen all your entries and not picked one for that reason. Good luck.
I haven’t really done this sort of thing before, so I am wondering if I need to identify/title any of the data points they request (IHG number, Mastercard number) or just list them in order. What do you think?
re: identify/title, numbers, etc.
Again, the rules are very specific and I quote:
“hand print your full name, complete mailing address, day and evening phone numbers, valid email address,
member number, the first six (6) digits of your MasterCard and date of birth on a 3″ x 5″
piece of paper and mail it…”
Seems rather obvious what you should do. Okay, it does not say IHG member number, but you will have to assume by “member number” they are referring to your IHG Member Number.
I was wondering too. I figure I will to avoid giving them any reason to toss the card. I also wondered if I could print out the titles and hand write the data points. I figure I won’t for the same reason.
so after mailing we will get 94 emails and play the game 94x times?
Yes. “Playing” probably means clicking a link.
Hold on. When it says the first 6 digits of your Mastercard, can it be any Mastercard, or does it have to be the IHG Mastercard?
re: IHG Mastercard.
I have read all the rules and can not find anything that refers to the OHG Mastercard. If you can find something, please point it out.
IHG, OHG… you know….
Any
Why do you think they want the MC numbers? Seems useless to have only six digits…what can they do with that?
re: why are they asking for MC number? No idea, but my guess would be they want to make sure you have a MCard. MCard is a co-sponsor of this promo. Since apparently people have trouble reading (not you), this helps them cover that part. By the way, the first digit indicates it is a M-Card, VISA, etc. First 6 identify the issuing bank. So, they could gather some data if they wanted to. And they of course do not want you sending your full number via normal mail.
a dumb question, I do not have IHG mastercard (so should I get the card first, so I will have the IHG member number, then can do this?)
Wendy: regarding the IHG member number. Read the rules about what you have to include. The IHG number comes from your IHG membership, not a mastercard.
You need your IHG membership number and the first six digits of any MasterCard. I don’t have the IHG MasterCard either. It’s not a problem.
On the promo page, it says “Every time you stay and use your MasterCard, you could unlock bonus points, ….”
COULD
I’m planning on sending in a dozen entries starting on 11-15 and try out the e-mail codes they’re going to send out. If each one wins 500 points, I’ll continue sending in. If some links give no prize I’ll re-evaluate at that point. I’ll just fill out these things during commercial breaks on TV. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
I’m wondering if you have to write day and evening phone number specifically. I’d done about 20 cards but I just had my cell phone number so I didn’t write it twice. I’m thinking I’m going to wait till the 15th and send in about 5 and see what I get back as well. If they take them the way that I’m completing them then I’ll do the rest.
Figure we’ll have more information on whether or not they are paying 500 per entry or not at that point as well. I can always add the other number to the other cards after the fact. I’m been actually doing:
Name: First Last
Addr: Street
Unit
City, State, Zip
Phone: Cell Number
etc…
I’m think I want to make sure that they aren’t ridiculous about not wanting the field information before each. The first one I filled out without those was hard to read so I’m thinking it could only be a positive but who knows with these things…
I think it is a very good idea to send in a few and make sure everything works smoothly before sending in all 94.
I’m assuming that it’s fine to use stamped for pre-printed address labels on the envelope, right?
I do not know. I am afraid they will look for any reason to disqualify, so I will just have everything on the envelope hand written.
Print 3×5 stickers can save you a lot of writing.
re: print 3×5 stickers.
Again, please read the rules.
1 – 3×5 pieces of paper. Is a sticker on a piece of paper still eligible?
2 – Per the quote below, I do not think I would do any computer printing. Sure, you could argue that it was not automated. But, who would you argue with?
“Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification”
It specifically says “hand write.”
I wouldn’t use 3×5 cards:
http://sweetiessweeps.com/2009/04/mail-in-sweepstakes-basics.html
Hey can I print these cards since my handwriting is poor.
It clearly says no.
I guess I will send in a couple of different versions and see if they are accepted before I go any further. I already used address labels to mail the envelopes and used 3 X 5 index cards. Spent all day yesterday doing this. Very time consuming.
PLEASE READ THE RULES FOLKS.
For example, it says it starts on November 15th. What do you think they will do with entries received before that?
The only thing I didnt think about was enveloped postmarked before the 15th but should be received today (the 16th). Hopefully they count since they werent delivered before the 15th.
I doubt it counts. I bet they are looking for ways to throw things out.
I received 7 emails for my entries that were mailed before the 15th. Still waiting to receive 46 more.
Has anyone called this number to ask specific questions, such as can 3X5 index cards be used or must the entries be on 3X5 pieces of paper?
Priceless Surprises Support: 1-888-211-9874
I called but hung up when I heard that I was really just calling IHG. I frankly didn’t expect to get any useful answers from any old IHG agent.
You could easily get an answer that is not official and is wrong. Why call? The rules say 3×5 piece of paper.
Scott, just have discovered your website and love everything about it. I do plan working this promotion as it is way too easy. My question is … I am currently deployed to a place with a lot of sand and do plan on a trip back home to the States in December. If I mail all 94 envelopes mid December will all be accepted, do you think? Or is this a one entry per day type of thing? Many thanks …. and I fully assume that my point/mile levels will drastically increase since I’ve found you.
Nothing says one per day in the rules. I’ll probably send most of mine on one day.
Thank you!!!
Here’s a machine that “handwrites” letters for $3 each.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/dn-tech-bond-robots-create-handwritten-letters-article-1.2427646
this looks like a job for fiverr.
I used to manage contests such as this when I worked in Marketing. You have to follow the directions EXACTLY or your entry will be voided.
I plan on also doing this. I am currently also doing the Victoria Secret’s and Applebee’s contest via mail in entry.

Paragraph 6B of The rules say “a 3×5 piece of paper”
It doesnts say lined or unlined; card etc
a card is a piece of paper
a lined card is a piece of paper
the only condition is that it be 3X5
re: paper vs card, etc
Your choice of interpretation. Personally, I would stick with paper since you of course are not in a position to discuss or argue with them. Maybe it is worth sending in a couple and see if they process them or not before doing them all. Once a few folks get their responses, we will have more data points.
I think this is the key. You have three months. Send a few one way and if you get the entries successfully, then send in the rest that way. If you don’t, change something up.
I was equating these to scratch off lottery tickets. The odds are the odds but once those big prizes start going away your odds of winning something big get worse and worse. Thats why I think its better to go in early.
The odds are the odds unless you know the big prizes are gone. Maybe by chance, the big prizes will all be given out near the end. There is no way to time this to maximize prizes IMO.
The link to the official rules is gone now. Hopefully they aren’t changing the terms.
I find the official rules in pdf format at
https://d2ukkex5d6aodv.cloudfront.net/pdf/PricelessSurprisesRules_FINAL.pdf?v=WFeLrJkA
It would be smart to download them now, as they very well could change in an unfavorable direction.
The version available now is the same file size (326,996 bytes) as the version I downloaded on November 5.
Does the address should also be hand written on the envelope?
No one knows for sure
Do we have to wait until the contest is over in March to receive the points, or will they post immediately because it’s an “instant win”?
Taking a trip over spring break and I could use these points right now…
Thanks!
I expect to get the points when I get the game plays.
Has anyone received anything back yet?
I mailed these out last Sunday and haven’t heard anything as well. Anyone out there with a different experience?
If the five business days are observed by the company, I would not expect anyone to receive anything until Tuesday at the earliest- probably later.
So it’s been another 2 days since the last post. Anyone get that emailed link yet? I sent out a few test entries over the weekend but like others and waiting to confirm everything is OK first.
Nothing yet. Sent out about 20 so far, beginning on the 15th
I sent two out on Nov 16 and nothing yet.
Nothing so far for me as well. Still waiting.
Keep us posted, everyone.
Wow. So 11 calendar days since people were supposed to have heard back using Nov. 15 start date plus 5 days per official rules and no one (myself included) has heard back? Confused.
17 calendar days from 11-15 the “start date”. I have been watching the comments on the various blogs. The “Mail In” option participants are not happy as no credible reports of any response to a “mail entry”. There are a few credible comments of “game play” emails from “stays”, on Flyertalk. If this turn out to be a dud for us mail in players, what should we do to get back at IHG ?
Good question. Why have a promotion and it not be real? Interest in this may have take the promotions company by surprise but that’s their burden not ours. I’ve been waiting patiently on this but have lessened confidence everu day. I’ll be the first to strip the stamps off my 90 remaining pre-labled envelopes and move on. If there’s anything else we can do collectively, let me know.
I’m thinking you guys may have to wait until the end of the promotion I think that’s when they will start sending out points, just a guess. I would do some research on other similar contests to see when those got paid out. good luck to u guys.
Raul: re your suggestion to wait until the end for points. What folks here are saying they are not even getting the email allowing them to play yet. If you do not play, then there are no points. Right? According to their own rules, folks should have gotten emails allowing them to play by now.
And per the T&C’s we should have gotten the emailed game link by now.
No game play e-mail. Glad I stopped at 20! Hopefully it’s a problem on the promotion company’s end. Curious to know if it is legal to offer a promotion and not honor it, if that’s the worst case scenario.
I emailed the promotions company,HelloWorld, last night asking for an explanation. I’m sure if someone was into Twitter or Facebook they could get a faster response.
I just receieved 2 Priceless Suprises Promotion emails this afternoon. Sent out two letters on November 15th or the 16th.
Received my first email today. Sent in 8 entries on Nov. 16, but only 1 email. Was an elevator and I “won” 500 points.
I just got my four emails! Mail in entries, on index cards, did not label any of the data (ie just wrote my member number without ID). Envelope was hand addressed, including return address.
I won 3 x 500 points, plus 1 x 1,000 points.
Who did the e-mail come from? I have not received anything.
Just received my first batch of IHG entries today! I also staggered mine in the mail, so I am still expecting about 60 more. Fun, easy – 21,500 points so far. I can confirm that you WILL receive at least 500 IHG points per entry (and I won a few 1000-2000).
Just wanted to report that I sent in two entries on Nov. 15 and today during lunch, my husband and I both received the email saying “You qualify for a Priceless Surprise®!”

Upon choosing the floor (one through six), my husband received 2,000 IHG points. He picked No. 5 BTW. Then I went and picked No. 6, I received 500 points. Neither has posted to our individual IHG accounts yet. After seeing the amounts, it said check your email for instructions on how to redeem your reward.
Pretty excited about this so I am going to go ahead and send it the rest of the entries.
For some data points: My husband’s entry had a handwritten address with a mailing label return. Mine had an addressed label and a stamped, inked return. Both were put on lined 3 X 5 cards purchased at Dollar Tree.
I received emails today for my 50 entries. I had 4 entries not win a prize. I also had several 1000 point prizes and two 2000 point prizes. It also says “Check your email for more details on how to redeem your Priceless Surprise.” so i’m assuming well get another email to push/enable each prize to our account.
I sent 20 entries, yesterday received just one playcard for 500 points. Hope to get the remaining 19 entries soon.
Got the remaining 19: One 5000, one 2000, two 1000 the rest 500 points. Not bad. Sending the rest entries soon.
Awesome!
Sent my entries on the 16th about thirty (30), and have yet to receive anything. Getting a little worried.
Sent 20 during the first 3 days – nothing yet!

I sent in 10 on November 16th and then another 84 on Thanksgiving day. On Dec. 4th I received 2 emails and won 500 pts on one and 1000 pts on the other. I have yet to receive anymore emails which is kind of strange. At least I know I filled them out correctly. I hope I get more emails because 1500 pts ain’t gonna cut it considering the time and expense of the whole enterprise.
What are the requirements on the envelope size? I bought smaller 3 5/8 x 6.5 ones. Is that ok? Didn’t see a size requirement… Thanks!
I sent 5 entries in on 11/15 and haven’t received anything as of yet. I’ll post here if they’re received.
Nothing yet! Sent 20 the first 3 days
Sent in 60 entries over the last 3 weeks.
Not one reply yet.
My brother and I thought a mailing service for this deal might be useful for anyone wanting to take advantage of this deal. For $136 we’ll lick, stick, and handwrite all the entries and take them to the post office for you. Here’s how to utilize our service:
Step 1: Pay via PayPal for the Mailing Service:
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=935KNQGERECNA
Step 2: Fill out the form so we have the information to hand write and send out 94 envelopes w/ entries to IHG:
http://goo.gl/forms/gwG9sxWr9l
Once we’ve fulfilled the order, we’ll send an e-mail out with a photo of all the envelopes we hand filled and as long as IHG processes the entries their points should show up in a few weeks. We’re not affiliated in any way with IHG, just handling the laborious task of filling out entries by hand and mailing them off. The rest is up to IHG for making sure points are applied, etc. We can’t guarantee any part of that process, only that we’ve mailed out 94 entries to IHG.
I told him he could post this because he has been a commenter here for a long time, but I don’t endorse this and don’t guarantee it.
Maybe I’m missing something! What does the subject line read when you receive a response/ prize entry e-mail?
Lol $136. How did u guys come up with that figure? I think I would try the fiverr route first. I wonder how many of these entries some one would fill out and send off for $5.
Hi Raul,
We pay for the postage, envelopes, 3×5 cards, and someone to fill them all out. We’ll also pop them in the mail for you. And… for an extra $15 bucks we’ll priority mail all of them to you and you can mail them from your local post office so they’re all postmarked in your local area. We can also leave them unsealed so you can spot-check our work for those that are uneasy about the service. 🙂

Thats pretty smart and kool!
Next year I may use you for my Christmas card list

I sent out 5 envelopes on November 15th and the game entries came in on December 11th.
Sent 94 of them from different mailboxes and cities and still have not heard a word in 2 weeks. Holding off on filling out the rest of my wife’s cards until something breaks on this.
Has everyone been getting the whole deal with the elevator? I received three emails with the subject “Congrats, you’ve received 1,000 points!” and I can’t figure out if what they were for, unless for this promotion. but there wasn’t any game involved.
On a separate issue, I also stayed at an IHG property last week, and no wasn’t offered anything with that stay.
For stays, you only get the gameplays for every stay starting with the second stay.
Ya, I realized that shortly after posting
I finally got 2 emails for the two entries I sent on 11-16. They both got 500 points, but those points aren’t in my account yet. Requiring an extra step to actually receive the points you won is going to ensure that many points go unawarded
Did anyone notice in the T&C the limitations that the contest runners have seemingly put? At the end of section 9 “Game Prizes”, I read, “TOTAL ARV OF ALL PRIZES: $373,026.66. Limit: One (1) prize
from Group A and five (5) prizes from Group B prize per person.”
Can anyone please confirm that they see the same? If this is so, what happens to the other 88 or 89 entries that I would submit? Who gets to chose the prizes? For example, if I were to get 2 5,000 point prizes, 6 1,000 point prices and 86 500 point prizes, what would I be getting? The promotion would lose a lot of its allure if we’re only allowed to claim 5 or 6 prizes.
re: 5 or 6 limit. Keep reading. There is also a group “C”.
Has anyone received their game plan from a labeled envelope with a handwritten entry inside?
This guy on ebay does 100 entries for $20 including shipping…

Got my first 10 a couple days ago, 8 X 500 & 2 X 5,000.
I got 4 emails for 4 entries.. Won 500, 1000, 500, 1000. Except no follow up emails or points posting to my account. Called and was told 5 days to post. More than that now.. I’ll have to call again to complain.
Sorry if I missed this question: but is it 94 entries per credit card as well? Meaning, can I use the same credit card for 2 different IHG accounts?
Do not know
re: 94 per credit card, or per person. It talks about an “entrant”. We/you can argue all day, but I think you are risk of violating the terms by trying with another card.
My husband and I just received points in our IHG accounts for the games that we played on December 4th and December 23rd. Although I was thrilled to have these points post, I only received 18 emails and sent in 63 envelopes. My husband received 25 emails and sent in 46 envelopes. Will be excited when all of the games and points are received.
Quick note to all. I received the points for the games that I played on 12/12/2015 yesterday (12/28/2015). So this is working but a bit of patience is needed.
Just got my game plays. Sent in 4 around 11/20 so there’s potentially for a 30+ day lag. Ended up with 4 x 500 pts. Dumping the other 90 in the mail today.
Just received a response from the only two that I deposited in the mail back in November (1500 points!) One was handwritten all the way and one had printed labeled addresses. I have 40 done and will complete the rest tomorrow.
I got my first batch of emails on December 4th and those points posted recently. I sent in more entries right after that but haven’t gotten any more emails. Makes me nervous to do this for my husband’s account….will we even get the emails in time to play them? I know the rules allow time for that but given current lags, maybe not enough time!
I played my first ones on the 13th & 14th and the points were deposited into my account on the 26th.
We sent 94 earlier in Dec. from different mailboxes and cities and still not a single thing from them. We are holding up on sending in my wife’s entries. Something just seems wrong with this program.

Just realized I missed the date of birth piece on my cards. I just mailed them all out. Anyone else miss a piece of info and have luck getting anything back? Or am I totally screwed?
I only sent in 4 test entries so far, and have received emails and points credited for those. For reference, I sent mine in on 11/17, got emails 12/18, points credited 12/28.
So I was really surprised when I got a 5th game play email this week with no activity to trigger it!
I also got a single game piece this week. I have sent in additional cards, but all in batches so I found it curious that I only got one.
Can anyone confirm if mailing 3×5 index card would work? Thanks.
Read the comments.
It. Works. Mine had preprinted lines on it
I submitted 60 entries. Only a few 1,k awards
Most 500
I sent 10 cards in November as a test and got two e-mails on Dec 4th. I sent the rest of the 84 cards in plus a bunch of others for my parents’ accounts and have not heard back at all. Is there a number or e-mail I can contact them through?
re: contacting them, cards
Though some folks and you have had a response to entries sent on cards, it is still possible they are not dealing with some that are on cards vs the PAPER indicated in the rules. Good luck trying to contact them, or getting any valid answers.
That’s crazy that they wouldn’t accept an index card, it’s still paper. Do they really expect me to take paper paper and cut out 3 x 5 inch sections and write on that? lol

I sent in a test 5 envelopes end of November , Exactly what they asked for, even cut out my own paper. I have not received anything back. I know people may think this is us trying to scam them, but these are the official rules and the corporation needs to do this in order to follow state laws. We should hold the company to these free entries and call the better business Bureau to investigate, or require action from this 3rd party company. It is impossible to lose so many entries, it should be investigated and regulated. Im sure they have a long history of claims that they just plain threw away a majority of the entries. At some point the claim of invalid entries becomes fishy.
I sent mine in batches between 5 to 15, so far I had only received one round of 10 back in December, a couple days ago I got one by itself, but I won a $50 gift card.
sent in 94 for my wife and 30 for me have received 6 emails back
I have sent 94 and as of today got 37 emails back. The last batch was last evening and all of those come out to 500 points each.
Found out my wife had not been putting her 1st 6 digits of MC on the cards and now have 35 in the mail without that. We will see what happens there.
Got a batch of 10 elevator emails today. Played the first six, and won nothing! Not even 500 points! Yikes!
I got 4 today and won nothing either. Wondering if IHG starts cracking down abusement of the game.
I got 3 today and won 500 on all 3.
And the game may be going differently than they expected but I don’t think it’s abuse to play within the listed rules.
Got a batch of 15 emails today and didn’t get one single point from any of them….
Just got 18 plays that I presume are from the 20 I sent in in early December. Sent 74 later in the month.
Played the 18 for 1 x 2000 point and the rest 500 points.
Got 21 emails today, 2 were good for 1,000 ea, 19 were for 500, which puts me a total of 28,500 (+$50 gift card) so far with 57 to go.
