Trip Report: Frankfurt to Seoul in Asiana First Class

My friend, Ryan from MA, recently took a trip to Italy and Taiwan during which he flew Lufthansa First Class, Asiana First Class, Thai First Class, ANA First Class and entered some of the world’s nicest lounges. I’ve asked him to do a series of trip reports, so we can all be inspired by some of the otherwise out-of-reach experiences miles can afford us. This is the first trip report on Lufthansa First Class.

After 5 days in Rome and 1 day in Bologna, my wife and I took a short Lufthansa business class flight from Rome to Frankfurt.

Trip Report: South African Business Class from Buenos Aires to Johannesburg

Six months in Argentina came to a close, and I started to fly my favorite award I've ever booked.

The first flight was from Buenos Aires to Johannesburg on South African Airways' direct flight in business class.

Trip Report: EVA Air Business Class from Los Angeles to Taipei

I recently had to take a quick trip to Bangladesh. While searching the United site, I found some good space on Thai, EVA, United and Asiana. All the airlines have flat bed seats, but I leaned toward EVA Air because they joined the Star Alliance two months ago, so I hadn't yet had a chance to fly them.

EVA flies the same flat bed business class seats as Cathay Pacific and the new American Air 777-300ER, which are widely considered the best business class seats in the world.

One of the absolute best experiences with miles and points is entering the Lufthansa First Class Terminal.

This was my first segment on a crazy eleven-segment trip that I just completed with my wife.

Trip Report: Melbourne to Los Angeles in Qantas Business Class on an A380

I'm not sure how this trip report slipped through the cracks. In January, I flew Qantas Business Class on an A380 from Melbourne to Los Angeles. I wrote the trip report then but never posted it. Fly along with me on the world's biggest jumbo jet.

Qantas 93
Melbourne (MEL) – Los Angles (LAX)
Depart: 11:20 AM on Wednesday, January 23
Arrive: 6:45 AM on Wednesday, January 23
Duration: 14:25
Aircraft: A380-800

I had booked my Qantas flight 331 days in advance when it became bookable with American Airlines miles.

“I’m Deaf and Mute, and I’d Like Some Vodka.”

I'm preparing to spend my 26th birthday in Uruguay, which has me reflecting on past birthday locations, which have included Spain, Bolivia, Uruguay, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Virginia, and Hawaii.

One of my favorite memories comes from my 20th birthday in Copacabana, Bolivia, which featured a silent vodka purchase, stumbling into an international volleyball match, and being charged to use the shower by a ten-year-old.

Copacabana, Bolivia is a small, dusty town with the best access to Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna in Lake Titicaca.

Trip Report: Singapore Airlines Business Class Houston-Singapore

Tahsir recently flew Singapore Business Class for twenty hours and was blown away by the service.

I recently had the opportunity to fly on Singapore Airlines Business Class from Houston-Singapore via Moscow.

One Perfect Week in Argentina Part 2

Part 1 focused on Buenos Aires. Part 2 will focus on three days in two other places: Iguazu Falls and Tigre. (Also check out a Trip Report on the Lake District of Patagonia.)

Lots of photos after the jump.

Iguazú Falls

The highlight of the week was our big trip outside of Buenos Aires to the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls. Without a doubt, this is the most incredible place I have ever been. No wonder it was named one of the New7Wonders of Nature!

The falls are located in the Iguazú National Park.
