There are no First Class seats on the Qantas A380 between Australia and the United States in either direction.

Qantas has lowered the number of miles needed to book Qantas and partner flights with Qantas miles. This is potentially big news since Citi ThankYou Points transfer 1:1 to Qantas miles.

What Are the Changes?
Qantas is not touching Business or First Class award prices, only international economy.

American Airlines is releasing a ton of Business Class award space from Los Angeles and Chicago to Shanghai for most of 2016.

This award space is easy to connect to from anywhere in the United States, and you can connect elsewhere in Asia with American Airlines partners.

Delta is offering awards to London for 22,500 SkyMiles each way this winter. That is a 7,500 miles discount off the normal price.

The details are a little sketchy (just like Delta's lack of an award chart) because those listed on the promo page are incomplete and incorrect:

I just redeemed 5,650 Avios and $84 for a flight from Santiago to Buenos Aires (AEP), the closer airport to the city. Tickets to that airport were running over $400 one way.

Even tickets to the worse airport were $180+, meaning I was very happy to use an Avios & Money award.

I am planning to return to Buenos Aires in February. I am planning to come from Santiago (though I don't have a ticket to Chile yet).

Buenos Aires has two airports, EZE and AEP.

WOW Air is finally selling seats on its new Los Angeles to Reykjavik and San Francisco to Reykjavik flights that start in June, 2016. Fares start at $99 one way.

WOW Air is an Icelandic low cost carrier. It offers flights from Baltimore and Boston and soon San Francisco and Los Angeles to Reykjavik with connections to Europe.

Americans need a visa to get into Vietnam. We can either get one from a Vietnamese consulate or embassy before travel or one on arrival with some pre-planning.
