When Was the Last ThankYou Point Transfer Bonus?

Through December 11, 2019, you will earn 25% more Avianca LifeMiles when transferring Citi ThankYou Points.

Three of the four major transferrable point currencies--American Express Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, and Capital One Miles--periodically run transfer bonuses to airline mileage partners. Chase Ultimate Rewards offered their first transfer bonus in May to British Airways Avios.

Sometimes the transfer bonus is offered by the bank that issues the points, and sometimes the transfer bonus is offered by the mileage program you can transfer said points to.

Citi Double Cash Crowned King of Everyday Spend

Citi has changed the landscape of travel reward cards by giving carriers of the Citi® Double Cash Card the ability to transfer their cash rewards to the ThankYou point program, given that they also hold either a Citi Premier® Card or Prestige Card. I'll start at the conclusion as far as what this means and work backward: The Citi® Double Cash Card now has the potential to earn 2 ThankYou Points per dollar spent on ALL purchases, with no cap on points earned.

Citi Prestige Cardholders Now Earn 5x on Dining & Air Travel

It's time to take that Citi Prestige Card you forgot about out of your sock drawer and put it back in your wallet. I'm sure there are quite a few of you who kept this card around for it's Fourth Hotel Night Free benefit, as those who pay to stay at hotels can save thousands of dollars from it every year that easily make up for the $450 annual fee. That benefit is being devalued later in the year, at which point you may want to reconsider whether keeping the card longterm is worth it.

$2,000 Worth of Citi Sign Up Bonuses Ending This Week (One Ends Today!)

There are two credit cards with large sign-up bonuses that are set to expire this week.

The CitiBusiness/AAdvantage Platinum Select World MasterCard: 70,000 bonus American Airlines miles for spending $4,000 on the new card within three months of account opening. You must apply by today (October 9, 2018) to qualify for this bonus offer.
The Citi ThankYou Premier: 60,000 bonus ThankYou Points for spending $4,000 on the new card within three months of account opening.

Record High 60k Point Bonus for Citi ThankYou Premier

The Citi ThankYou Premier Card is now offering 60,000 bonus ThankYou Points after $4,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. For the majority of 2016 the ThankYou Premier had no sign up bonus whatsoever, then Citi came back with 40k points for a $3k minimum spending requirement bonus in December 2016. Since then we’ve seen the bonus fluctuate between non-existent to typically no higher than 50k. 60,000 ThankYou Points is the biggest bonus the card has ever offered.

Two New Bonus Offers Earn 137,000 AAdvantage Miles

The Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard is now offering 60,000 bonus American Airlines miles after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months. We've seen this offer before on the personal card. Citi rotates in a out a couple times of year typically.

Hilton Cardholders: Consider Your Options ASAP

For a while Hilton has offered all of the following co-branded credit cards:

Hilton Honors Card from American Express with no annual fee
Citi Hilton Honors Card with no annual fee
Hilton Honors Surpass Card from American Express with a $75 annual fee
Citi Hilton Honors Reserve Card with a $95 annual fee

But that's changing tomorrow. We've known for a while that Hilton dropped its partnership with Citi in favor of an exclusive co-branding partnership with Amex.
