Fantastic Asiana Award Space Disappears From United.com, Here’s How to Still Book It
February 9, 2015
Asiana Airlines is a member of Star Alliance--United's alliance--based in Seoul, South Korea. I flew Asiana First Class on its A380 last year and was very impressed.
Business Class on the Asiana A380
Since Asiana is a member of Star Alliance, all the award space it releases is bookable with United miles. Until recently the award space showed up on searches of united.com also. For whatever reason, Asiana award space no longer displays on united.com.

A generous reader is donating two United Club passes that expire 2/28/15, about 2.5 weeks from now, to one lucky winner. If you can use the passes between the 15th and 28th of this month (to account for the delay in sending them), comment on this post with how you'll use the passes.

Expert Predictions for Timing and Extent of Next American Airlines Devaluations
February 6, 2015
I gathered several estimates for the timing and extent of the next American Airlines devaluation from miles and points experts. I've averaged the guesses to produce a wisdom-of-the-crowd estimate that I hope is as close as possible to predicting the future as we can get.
Background
Last year, United gutted and bifurcated its award chart for Business and First Class redemptions. Now awards on partner airlines cost a lot more than they used to. For instance, one way in Partner First Class to the Middle East is 140,000 miles.
Delta released a few new award charts last year.
25% Bonus on Conversions of Hotel Points to American Airlines Miles. Good Deal?
February 6, 2015
Through March 15, 2015, most transfers of hotel points to American Airlines miles earn a 25% bonus.
Barclaycard Video: How to Redeem Arrival Miles
February 6, 2015
Arrival miles can be redeemed for any travel expense like any flight (no blackouts), taxes and fees on award tickets, hotels, airbnb, car rentals, cruises, and more. After the 10% rebate on all travel redemptions and the fact that you earn 2 miles per dollar on the purchase before you remove it from your account with a redemption, this card offer 2.28% back toward travel on all purchases.
Barclaycard has put out a video about how to redeem Arrival miles, which I think is a smart move.
$1,007 Roundtrip Business Class Fares to Europe
February 4, 2015
La Compagnie, a new French airline with an all Business Class fleet, is offering $1,007 roundtrip fares from Newark to London-Luton for travel from April 24 to June 30, 2015.
Even though La Compagnie has the worst transatlantic Business Class, the offering is far better than anyone else's economy or Premium Economy, and at a lower price, so this is a great deal.
The Deal
La Compagnie begins service from Newark to London-Luton, which is an airport dominated by low-cost carriers like easyJet and Wizz Air, on April 24, 2015.

Fantastic News: No More Phone Fee to Book American Airlines Awards Not Bookable Online
February 4, 2015
American has charged $25 per domestic ticket and $35 per international ticket to book award tickets by phone. That meant a lot of paying $35 for me, since only 9 of the 24 airlines you can book with American Airlines miles are bookable on aa.com.
