ThankYou Premier 50k Bonus Changing Tomorrow

The Citi ThankYou Premier Card currently has an offer of 50,000 bonus ThankYou Points after $4,000 in purchases within the first three months of account opening.

According to One Mile at a Time, that sign up bonus is changing tomorrow, August 22. This is not shocking considering that, for the majority of 2016, the ThankYou Premier had no sign up bonus whatsoever. Then in December of 2016, Citi came back with 40k points for a $3k minimum spending requirement bonus.

Link For 60k Offer on CitiBusiness Card (Better Than Public Bonus)

The Citi /AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard and the CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select World MasterCard bonus are now each offering 30,000 American Airlines for spending $1,000 the card within three months of account opening.

Historically that is not a very high sign up bonus for either. Periodically Citi will raise the bonuses to 50k AAdvantage miles for spending $3,000 in three months, and not that long ago the public bonuses were 60,000 miles for each of the personal and business cards.

If you missed out on the public offers, there's no need to fret.

Last Chance for Citi / AAdvantage Platinum 60k Offer

We've been wondering when the shoe would drop with the limited time 60k sign up offers for Citi's AAdvantage co-branded credit cards.

Since April, both the Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard and the CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select World MasterCard have had 60,000 mile sign up bonuses for spending $3,000 on each within three months of opening them. The marketing for the cards reads limited time, but no end date was actually published.

The Points Guy broke the news yesterday that the 60k offer for the personal card would end as off July 13 (tomorrow).

10% Transfer Bonus from ThankYou Points to Etihad

Citi is offering a 10% transfer bonus from Citi ThankYou Points to Eithad Guest through July 5, 2017.

If you have ThankYou Points earned by a Citi Prestige, Citi ThankYou Premier, or Citi Chairman card, then you can transfer ThankYou points to Citi's airline partners and are therefore eligible for the transfer bonus.
Using Etihad Miles for Etihad Flights
Etihad Guest Miles aren’t very good for booking First Class on the Etihad A380.

For instance, Etihad would charge 88,048 Etihad miles + $183 to book Abu Dhabi to London in First Class on the Etihad A380.

Hilton Honors Reserve card

...and Amex has got the

Hilton Honors card
Hilton Honors Surpass card.

Or at least Citi WAS issuing Hilton co-branded credit cards.

Travel Protection Benefits of Chase, Citi, & Amex Cards: Comparison Chart

Update 5/20/17: I added another table under the original benefits comparison table that outlines the terms of coverage for each card, depending on how a trip was paid and whether or not it's roundtrip/one-way. This is information I've gathered from each card's terms and conditions, not first hand experience, so if anyone has further first-hand info, please share in the comments.

Accidents happen. Delays occur. Baggage gets lost. The more you travel, the more you’re exposed to these kinds of risks.
