I noticed in August 2012 that on my Avios award flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles, my boarding pass printed with "Priority AAccess," granting me priority security and priority boarding.

This (unintended?) benefit of British Airways Avios awards on American Airlines flights is still alive.

The 50k mile bonus offer is back on the Lufthansa card mentioned in this post until 6/30/14.

I've long marveled at how hard it is to convince people to use miles and points to travel more, travel better, and pay next to nothing doing it.

My only explanation is that there is a steep learning curve that turns many people off.

Yesterday I received an email inviting me to book two nights and get the third night free at participating Aloft, Element, and Four Points hotels because I have a Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express.

The offer indicates that on stays at participating Aloft, Element, and Four Points hotels, I will get the third night free if I pay for two nights with my Starwood card.

Will I be taking advantage?

American Express Membership Rewards transfers to British Airways will come with an automatic 20% transfer bonus from now through December 31, 2013.

American Express Membership Rewards transfers to Virgin Atlantic will come with an automatic 30% transfer bonus from now through November 30, 2013.

Researching another post, I tried to include a link to the Platinum Card from American Express Exclusively for Mercedes-Benz because it was the best personal sign up bonus for Membership Rewards at 50,000 Membership Rewards for spending $3k in three months.

If the Mercedes-Benz version of the card is dead, then the best Platinum card offers is the standard offer of 25,000 Membership Rewards after spending $2k in three months.

Sure there is a $450 annual fee--the Mercedes card had a $475 annual fee--but you can get easily more than $500 in statement credits plus worldwide airport lounge
