Delta throws 757s and 767s configured with flat bed seats at its transcontinental routes.

A few weeks ago, United's Danish website was way under-pricing First Class tickets from London to the United States, about $100 to anywhere you wanted to go. United said it would not honor those tickets, and I sided with United while noting that United States Department of Transportation (DoT) rules seemed clear that United couldn't unilaterally cancel its tickets.

Now the DoT has weighed in with a statement.

The statement makes clear that United will not have to honor the mistake fares.

I've wanted to fly Swiss Business Class for a while. It just looks really nice. The 6'6" beds nearly all have direct aisle access, and the food and lounges look nice.

Swiss flies to Zurich from eight North American cities and from Zurich throughout the rest of Europe.

United is releasing economy and Business Class award space on its 787-8 and 787-9 Dreamliners from Asia and Australia, not so much to.

Asiana Airlines is a member of Star Alliance--United's alliance--based in Seoul, South Korea. I flew Asiana First Class on its A380 last year and was very impressed.

Since Asiana is a member of Star Alliance, all the award space it releases is bookable with United miles. Until recently the award space showed up on searches of united.com also. For whatever reason, Asiana award space no longer displays on united.com.

United.com is offering cheaper prices for partner Business Class award award bookings than what United's chart says the price is. This sale is unannounced and could end at any time.

In February 2014, United went to two charts: a cheaper one for flights on United and a more expensive one for partner flights--way more expensive in Business and First Class.

Last month, there were unannounced sales in partner Business Class to Europe, the Middle East, and India. These sales were restricted to off peak times though--January, February, and March.
