The sale is structured as a bonus on the normal number of miles you’d receive. The bonus is tiered, so the biggest 40% bonus comes from purchasing 40,000 miles at the normal price of about 2.96 cents each after tax.
To buy 56,000 miles (40,000 + 16,000 bonus) during this sale costs $1,182.50, which is 2.11 cents per mile. This is not the best sale we’ve seen.

American Airlines is offering up to a 50% bonus on the purchase of AAdvantage miles through January 29, 2016. You can now buy 100,000 American Airlines miles and get 50,000 bonus miles, for a total of 150,000 miles, for 2.13 cents each.
The bonus miles are tiered, based on how many miles you purchase. The best deals are to buy 70k + 35k or 100k + 50k.
American Airlines miles cost 2.95 cents each plus a 7.5% excise tax, and every purchase has a $30 processing fee.
Buy IHG Points for 0.6 Cents Each All the Time

IHG, the loyalty program of InterContinental, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza, has frequent sales during which you can buy its points for 0.575 cents each, a 50% discount on the every day price of 1.15 cents each.
There has long been a workaround to buy points every day for 0.7 cents each. Now that workaround can buy them for 0.6 cents each.
That makes the best IHG awards, a rotating list of PointBreaks hotels that cost only 5,000 points per night, cost only $30 per night.

American Airlines has increased the bonus on the purchase of AAdvantage miles through January 4, 2016. You can now buy up to 150,000 American Airlines miles and get up to 115,000 bonus miles, for a total of 265,000 miles, for 1.81 cents each.
The bonus miles are tiered, based on how many miles you purchase. There is a new bonus of 115,000 miles for buying 150,000.

Through December 18, 2015, United is offering a 100% bonus on purchased miles. The size of the bonus depends on the number of miles you buy, with the largest 100% bonus kicking in at 30,000 miles purchased.
United miles normally cost 3.5 cents per mile plus a 7.5% tax, bringing the full price to 3.76 cents each.

Avianca LifeMiles and Passageiro de Primeira are offering a 150% bonus on purchased miles through December 15, 2015. The minimum purchase is only $66.
LifeMiles cost 3.3 cents each, so with a 150% bonus, you get the miles for 1.32 cents each. For instance, if you purchase 10,000 LifeMiles with a 15,000 mile bonus for 25,000 total miles, it would cost $330 or 1.32 cents each.

Through Friday December 4, 2015, British Airways is offering a 40% bonus on the purchase of Avios. The biggest bonus ever offered on the purchase of Avios was 50% in February, so this is a big bonus.
The maximum Avios you can purchase in a year is 35,000. With a 40% bonus, that means you can add 49,000 Avios to your account.

Ending today (Monday November 30), Avianca LifeMiles is offering a bonus of 140% on purchased miles. You can buy up to 375,000 LifeMiles during the sale.
LifeMiles cost 3.3 cents each, so with a 140% bonus, you get the miles for 1.375 cents each. For instance, 4,800 total miles would be $66 or 1.375 cents each.
This is the cheapest I have ever seen LifeMiles, and slightly cheaper than the 1.4 cents each that they cost last week.
More importantly, most LifeMiles sales require a huge purchase (last time $3,333+) to get the lowest price.
