Many airline and hotel loyalty programs allow you to purchase their points or miles currency. As a member of that particular loyalty program, you can go online and buy points or miles with a few clicks. Many of these programs even have high purchase limits, meaning that you can buy a six-figure amount every calendar year. 

Let’s say that you have 40,000 points in your Marriott Bonvoy account and you want to purchase a hotel stay that costs 100,000 points.

While some have criticized the Delta SkyMiles program for its less-than-great mileage options, they do offer some inexpensive domestic award flights that make using this program worthwhile. Unfortunately, Delta was one of the first airlines to get rid of its public award chart and change to a dynamic pricing system for award flights.

Many people overlook Wyndham Rewards in favor of more well-known hotel loyalty programs like Marriott Bonvoy or World of Hyatt. However, considering Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has nearly 9,000 properties under management, the Wyndham Rewards program still has some great deals that you can take advantage of. 

Capital One also added Wyndham as a transfer partner in 2020, giving Capital One card holders the option to use their miles for any of Wyndham’s amazing redemption options.

The Citi ThankYou® Rewards program allows eligible bank or credit card customers to earn ThankYou Points, a flexible rewards currency, on purchases made with certain Citi credit cards. And, although the Chase Ultimate Rewards and American Express Membership Rewards programs both offer more cards that earn their respective currencies, the Citi ThankYou Points are still valuable and easy to earn. 

You can earn Citi ThankYou Points by opening new credit cards and earning sign-up bonuses, paying for everyday purchases with eligible credit cards and also by holding Citi checking accounts.
