Amazon is offering 20% off purchases sold by Amazon, in addition to various gift cards not sold by Amazon, for those that apply at least 1 Membership Rewards point to their order and pay with the Amex card that earned it. The public (standard) sign up bonus offer for the American Express Gold Card, which you will see by clicking that link, is 35,000 bonus Membership Rewards for spending $2,000 on the new card within three months of account opening. I'll keep this brief as to be timely, as these fares won't last.

Southwest just dropped their price on some of their brand new inter-island flight, between Honolulu and Maui, to $29, and Hawaii Airlines is playing ball. Right now you can find flights on both airlines between Honolulu and Maui, as well as Honolulu and Kona (on Hawaiian) for the super low price of $29.

I'm seeing the Southwest flights pricing at just 1,379 Rapid Rewards (and $5.60 in tax).
