I can't say I'll get through all of the dozens of transfer partners, but I will start with the most important ones and see how far I get.

United is putting a 787-9 Dreamliner on its all of its routes to Australia by March 26, 2016. United currently flies the 787-9 on its Los Angeles to Melbourne route and 777s on its San Francisco and Los Angeles to Sydney routes.

There is great economy award space on the Sydney routes after the operating aircraft switches to a Dreamliner, but very little Business Class space.

Korean Air has multiple award charts when redeeming its SkyPass miles. There is one award chart to fly Korean, one award chart to fly SkyTeam partners, and award charts to fly Alaska, Hawaiian, Gol, and Emirates (click logos). Alaska Airlines is having an award sale from 47 of its cities. Awards start at 5,000 miles one way, and I see Hawaii and Mexico awards discounted to 12,500 miles one way.

Start on the award sale page. Select your city from the dropdown menu to see its sales. For instance, here is the sale from Kona, Big Island (Hawaii.)

If there is a discount in the market you're searching, it is good in both directions, so San Jose to Kona would be only 25,000 Alaska miles roundtrip.

British Airways is launching a new route from San Jose to London on May 4, 2016.

The new route will be flown by a 787-9 Dreamliner with flat beds in Business and First Classes.
