How to Display AA’s Old Award Search Tool

Ugh. American Airlines' new tool for searching award space is super annoying. The results are in no way displayed in a way that makes it efficient for us to see what's available.

It gives you no easy option to filter number of stops or cabin. On the week view, it says a filter function is coming soon... but it's said that for a while now. (Edit 7/18: There are some filter options on the mobile version.

I originally wrote this post in 2017, as a part of series summarizing and comparing travel insurance offered by some of the most popular travel rewards cards. If you keep up with the blog, you'll remember I'm in the midst of a plan to rake in as many Chase bonuses as I can before they decide they've had enough of me.

Walking Across America with Points: Week 2

I hope everyone had a fantastic fourth of July! We've been following Mike Hammari for a bit now as he makes his way across this nation of ours on foot, soaking in the scenes in a very different way than most of us are accustomed to. Slowly!

Mike is covering a large portion of his accommodation along the way with travel rewards. This series takes a look at how and why he chooses the redemptions he does.

Amex Cardholders Get Up to $50 Off Amazon Order

Amazon is offering 20% off purchases sold by Amazon, in addition to various gift cards not sold by Amazon, for those that apply at least 1 Membership Rewards point to their order and pay with the Amex card that earned it. The maximum discount is $50 on a $250 order. Note that while widely available, it does appear that this is a targeted offer.
