A Cost/Benefit Analysis for the Marriott Bonvoy Amex

In the spring of 2017 I opened a Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express. At the beginning of this year, that card was product changed to the Marriott Bonvoy Amex Card.
The Mariott Bonvoy Amex Card is not open for applications. Those that have one were all product changed from a Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card.

I opened a Barclaycard Arrival Plus Card a little over a year ago, which meant that I was recently faced with the decision everyone should consider a year into holding a card that charges an annual fee: Is is worth keeping another year?

I’ve Had My Arrival Plus For Almost a Year. Now What?

I already knew the answer to that question before I called Barclaycard last week. But I decided to call anyways for the sake of curiosity, and to possibly help out someone else that may be in the same position with their Barclaycard Arrival Plus that is actually considering keeping it open.
I want to be able to get the sign up bonus on the Arrival Plus again, and the general consensus is that you can, but your previous card must be closed for at least six months before applying again.

About a year ago I excitedly opened a Citi Prestige card, ready for my 50,000 ThankYou point bonus and lounge access, among other things.
