Second, a big apology to those of you who tried to buy the book yesterday and couldn’t. PayPal processes the payments and apparently a data center power outage yesterday brought the service down for a few hours. But everything is back up and running.
Okay, with that warning and apology out of the way – let’s talk travel. Specifically I want to talk about the kinds of trips that become possible when you start travel hacking.

Maybe a silly question, but do I have to purchase my airline ticket with the Citi Thank you Premier Card, to take advantage of the $250 statement credit, or can I purchase air ticket with another CC? I’m assuming I have to purchase on the Citi Thank You card.

Re e-book purchase
Unable to purchase e-book at introductory price after many attempts using my Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. I am US citizen living in Australia (expat) and is first time ever knocked back for any purchases anywhere regardless of location.. Attempts were made to make purchase over several days so power outage not the problem.
Contacted Chase to see if there was any problem with my card and there were not any problems and there were not any.
Wonder if other expats encountered same problem.
