Yesterday, Citi launched a 50,000 point offer on the Citi Prestige after spending $3,000 in the first three months. The previous offer was 30,000 points after $2,000 in spending.

Read my analysis of the new offer.

I had gotten the old offer last week, so I was eager to see if I could be matched to the new, better offer. Commenters Matt Smith, Darren, Buddy M., MilesCollector, and Carla all said they had been matched by calling the number on the back of their Prestige. I tried and succeeded also.

The agent said my account now reflects that I will receive 50,000 bonus ThankYou Points after $3,000 in purchases in the first three months of account membership. She also said that I was eligible to be matched to the better offer because I had opened my account in the last 90 days.

If you got the Citi Prestige® Card in the last 90 days for its $250 annual airfare credit, American Airlines and Priority Pass Select lounge access, or big category bonuses, make sure you call Citi today to be matched to the 50,000 point sign up bonus.

Earn 60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

Just getting started in the world of points and miles? The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for you to start with.

With a bonus of 60,000 points after $4,000 spend in the first 3 months, 5x points on travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal and 3x points on restaurants, streaming services, and online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs), this card truly cannot be beat for getting started!
