This limited time offer EXPIRES TOMORROW June 22, 2016. Apply today to qualify for the 75,000 Membership Reward bonus!
Through June 22, 2016, there is a publicly available offer for 75,000 bonus Membership Rewards after spending $3,000 on the Platinum Card from American Express Exclusively for Mercedes-Benz. Despite the name, the card is available to everyone, not just Mercedes-Benz customers.
I value those points at about $1,500.
Membership Rewards transfer to around 20 hotel and airline programs including Delta, Singapore, and British Airways.
The card has a $475 annual fee in the first year. But it comes with huge benefits like airline fee reimbursement, airport lounge access, and hotel status.
For more info on setting up and maximizing the benefits, see Get the Most Out of Your Platinum Card.
Eligibility
If you have ever had the Mercedes-Benz American Express Platinum, you are ineligible to get the bonus again because Amex now has a strict one-bonus-per-lifetime rule for each card. However this card is a separate product from the “regular” Amex Platinum personal and business cards, so having had either of those cards before won’t stop you from getting this card and its bonus.

Just getting started in the world of points and miles? The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for you to start with.
With a bonus of 60,000 points after $4,000 spend in the first 3 months, 5x points on travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal and 3x points on restaurants, streaming services, and online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs), this card truly cannot be beat for getting started!

Nice one!
So, I already have the ‘regular’ Amex Platinum. Instead of renewing for another year, I should get the MB Amex Platinum, right? No penalty for cancelling the regular one?
There is never a penalty for canceling a card.

Are you sure that Amex Business Platinum cardholders who received the 100K signup bonus are eligible for the 75K Amex Mercedes Platinum signup bonus? Are you sure we can rely on that Reddit thread? TPG says otherwise. Thanks! http://thepointsguy.com/2013/09/amex-changes-mercedes-benz-platinum-card-bonus-terms-prior-platinum-cardholders-excluded/
Sure, as in 100% sure? No. Sure as in 99.9% sure? Yes.
Thanks for the tip Scott! Love your blog and have been looking for a decent Platinum bonus. AmEx sent me a targeted e-mail offer for 50k points but then I spotted this article. Happy to use your link. Instant Approval! Thanks for the extra 25k points!
Enjoy the points!
Thanks for the reminder! Instant Approval.
